Isidro’s Tamales and Taqueria is home for “authentic Mexican food”. It is located in Kankakee and since about a month ago, has opened another location in Bourbonnais.

 

The owner of the restaurant is names Isidro himself, and wanted to build a restaurant in the community, that he felt represented his culture.

Staff member Jose says, "I love working here. My co-workers along with our guest make things more enjoyable than I could've ever imagined."  

 

It is a smaller restaurant where it is typical for individuals to go in, eat then leave. It is among one of the most known restaurants in the town of Kankakee.

 

Recently Isidro’s Tamales and Taqueria was awarded for being amongst the “10 extremely small restaurants that are amazing”.

 

Many customers claim that the cheap prices, quantity and quality of food, is the reason they enjoy it so much.

 

“Sometimes I have a craving for authentic tacos, and I head to Isidro’s and never get anything less than what I expect. The food is always good.” Says customer, Louie Morales.

 

The restaurants rating on Facebook recieved a 4.8 on a scale of 5, this being based off the reviews of 100 individuals.

 

“If you’re looking for something simple, I suggest their steak tacos. They are inexpensive and extremely filling. No more Taco Bell for me.” Says, Blake Dunn, frequent customer of Isidro’s.
